PRIDE in Progress: Shaping Legacy…past, present, and future! (PIP) is an original festival debuting September 19 – 20, 2025, at three Greater Fort Lauderdale area venues. Funded in part by Broward County Cultural Division, the festival events focus on American LGBTQ history, the sanctity of same sex marriage and the beauty of all families regardless of their composition. Events include Friday night’s opening night reception with round table discussion, art exhibit, a musical performances. Saturday afternoon features a lecture & book reading and Saturday night The Promise Salon concert at Wilton Manors newest venue The Gray Box Theater.
Festival programs highlight the contributions the LGBTQ community have made to American society. Performers, vendors & venues were selected for their commitment to the LGBTQ community. The festival is open to those interested in supporting and/or learning more about the challenges & triumphs faced by the LGBTQ community & the people who value them.

Sam Tsui is an American singer, songwriter & producer. He rose to fame as an internet celebrity known for doing covers & musical medleys of songs by pop artists. Today, his catalog includes original songs & mashups. The Yale graduate has toured extensively throughout the US, Asia, & Australia. Sam as a strong digital presence 3.13M YouTube subscribers, 1.4M Facebook followers & 341k Instagram followers. Mr. Tsui announced his sexual orientation the day before he married Mr. Brevens. The duo resides in Los Angeles with their 3-year-old daughter whom they adopted at birth. She will be joining us for the festival.
Casey Breves is an American singer, songwriter & content creator. who as performed across the United States, Europe, & Asia as both a pop and classical vocalist. Born and raised in New York City, he sang with the GRAMMY Award‐winning vocal ensemble Chanticleer after graduating from Yale University where he was a member of the Whiffenpoofs. He performed on Saturday Night Live, Good Morning America, & Prairie Home Companion & as a soloist in concert with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Seattle Symphony, the Denver Philharmonic, & at Radio City Music Hall as a backup vocalist for Adele. Casey also has a long affiliation with the NYC based nonprofit Camber Queer whose mission is to program queer artists and composers; highlight historically under-represented queer figures in classical music; and provide an inclusive and intersectional space in classical music for artists and audience alike. His videos have received over half a billion views on YouTube & hundreds of millions of streams on Spotify.
