Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical version of The Phantom of the Opera tells the story of a masked figure who lurks beneath the catacombs of the Paris Opera House, exercising a reign of terror over all who inhabit it. He falls madly in love with an innocent young soprano, Christine, and devotes himself to creating a new star by nurturing her extraordinary talents and by employing all of the devious methods at his command.
In collaboration with GENVAS, the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center, we will present a powerful concert version of The Phantom of the Opera. Performed by Broadway artists this production features beloved highlights including “The Phantom of the Opera,” “All I Ask of You,” “The Music of the Night,” “Masquerade” and the GRAMMY nominated “Learn to Be Lonely.” The cast then takes the audience on a journey of “Broadway Through the Years” revisiting music from Broadway’s early beginnings of Gilbert and Sullivan, George Gershwin, and Jerome Kern right up to today’s hits such as Kimberly Akimbo and Hamilton!
