AN AFTERNOON AFFAIR…
As we begin a new GENVAS Art Salon season, it is with great pleasure that I invite you to be my guest for an intimate afternoon of music, art, & fellowship. I do hope you will join me as we celebrate our benefactors and cherished friends. Prosecco and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

This exclusive experience begins with the opportunity to explore one of South Florida’s most extraordinary museums.WMODA features over 3,000 works of art & is home to one of the world’s largest collections of glass art by Dale Chihuly alongside other superstars of the American Studio Glass Movement.
Following is a musical interlude featuring the internationally celebrated guitarist José Angel Navarro and The Angel Trio. Navarro is best known for his vibrant Afro-Cuban-American music. His story and style reflects the richness, resilience, and beauty of our shared American story.
We will conclude the Salon with a first glimpse of GENVAS’ major 2027 public humanities initiative, The Florida Highwaymen Legacy Reimagined: The Contemporary Art of Onicas Onassa. This festival will take place, over the course of weeks, in non-traditional public spaces in downtown Fort Lauderdale. The finished piece will be donated to the African American Research Library & Cultural Center.
An Afternoon Affair… I Am an American! is ultimately a celebration of the enduring truth that America’s greatest masterpiece has always been its people and the power of the arts to inspire understanding, dignity, and unity.
