“Ann Hampton Callaway’s Love and Let Love: A Pride Celebration”

featuring Ann Hampton Callaway, singer/songwriter
Café Society Pride Series

Sunshine Cathedral Performing Arts Center
1480 SW 9th Avenue Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33315

GENVAS’ Café Society is inspired by the real life “beautiful people” and “bright young things” who gathered in fashionable New York city cafés and restaurants beginning at the end of Prohibition in 1933. Our Café Society Pride Series specifically celebrates members of the LGBTQ community and presents LGBTQ artists whose life and work promotes the beauty and importance of acceptance and inclusion.

ANN HAMPTON CALLAWAY is one of the leading champions of the great American Songbook, having made her mark as a singer, pianist, composer, lyricist, arranger, actress, educator, TV host and producer. Her unique singing style blends jazz and traditional pop, making her a mainstay in concert halls, theaters and jazz clubs as well as in the recording studio, on television, and in film. She is best known for Tony-nominated performance in the hit Broadway musical Swing! and for writing and singing the theme song to the hit TV series The Nanny.
Callaway’s live performances showcase her warmth, spontaneous wit and passionate delivery of standards, jazz classics and originals. She has been a special guest performer with Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, with Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops at Symphony Hall and Tanglewood and is featured at many of the Carnegie Hall tributes. She has sung with more than thirty of the world’s top orchestras and big bands. This is Ms. Hampton Callaway’s GENVAS debut Salon.
