GENVAS featuring Steven LaBrie, Baritone and Adam Nielson, Piano

Steven LaBrie is quickly gaining attention for his beautiful timbre, expressive singing and dramatic presence.  Opera News included Mr. LaBrie on their list entitled “five leading lyric baritones to watch.”  Mr. LaBrie has received numerous awards and honors including a 2016 Top Prize awards from the George London Music Foundation, Metropolitan Opera National Council. Steven has appeared with Sarasota Opera, New Amsterdam Opera, Opera Steamboat, San Antonio Symphony, among others. Mr. LaBrie made his return to Carnegie Hall, on the occasion of his CD release, where he was featured in their Three Baritones Sing American Songs.

Adam Nielsen’s piano performances with the Juilliard Opera during the 2012-2013 season were praised by Musical America as “a technically assured and highly expressive account of the score” and by The New York Times as “deftly and sensitively played.”  Recent engagements include performances at the Aspen Festival’s Harris Hall Chamber Music Series and at the Musée de Beaux Arts in Montreal.  Previously, Adam was an official accompanist for the Marilyn Horne Foundation master classes at Carnegie Hall and a resident pianist at the Steans Institute of the Ravinia Festival.  He has been presented in recital at Alice Tully Hall, Steinway Hall, the 92nd Street Y, Symphony Space, and the Russian Embassy in Washington D.C. He is currently an Associate Coach and Assistant Conductor for the Marcus Institute of Vocal Arts at the Juilliard School, and has been a Senior Coach and Conductor for Aspen Opera Theater.
